Better Health Start for Life 'Little Moments Together' Campaign
Fri 19 Jan 2024On 15th January the Department for Education (DfE), in partnership with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), launched the Better Health Start for Life 'Little Moments Together' Campaign. The campaign aims to educate parents and carers about the importance of brain development in the first five years of a child's life, and the crucial role they play as parents and carers, with advice and tips available on the Start for Life website.

Tue 09 Jan 2024There is a lot going on in the maternity and post-natal physical activity sphere to kick off 2024 and we thought you might be interested in the following:
Sport in Mind have issued new timetables (attached) for their Pregnancy and Mum & Baby sessions starting from yesterday, Monday 8th January, across Berkshire. These free of charge sessions are open to all mums experiencing low mood, stress, lonely, isolated or with a diagnosed mental health condition. The sessions are lots of fun and for all abilities - please email info@sportinmind.org to book on to a session. The sessions are all delivered by a qualified instructor and all equipment will be provided.
Sport in Mind's Activity Map includes all the information you need to know about each session.
Preparing to be Mum & Dad course: Home-Start Bracknell Forest will be running two groups for expectant Mums & Dads. These groups will take place at the same time but will be run separately by a female (for Mums) & a male (for Dads) Facilitator on Saturday 27th January 2024. A flyer is attached.

MMR Vaccinations
Tue 10 Oct 2023Measles cases are rising across the country, with over 102,000 children starting primary school in England being at risk of catching the disease.

Measles are highly infectious and if left unvaccinated nine out of ten children in an early years setting can catch the disease if just one child is infectious.
